YOU CAN OVERCOME

You should NEVER judge a book by its cover.  The same thing applies here.  This is one website you need to take a look at and visit, to see what they are all about.  I found that out when I requested permission to add them to this site.  The response was not hum-drum, not drab, not the ordinary.  The response came from Werner Baker, the Executive Director himself.  And it was enthusiastic, to say the least.  I realized that here was someone who cares for what it is all about:  he cares for the troops, he cares for the veterans, he cares for America, and he stands up for what he is doing.  I thank God I contacted Still Serving Veterans.

Operation M'Brace provides Christians an opportunity to pray by name for members of the United States Armed Forces by wearing an engraved bracelet as a constant reminder. It provides members of the Armed Forces the benefits of personal prayer when they freely submit their name to our prayer list for the engraved bracelets.  This is something we can all get involved with!

America's Heroes at Work is a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) project that focuses on the employment challenges of returning service members living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The project equips employers and the workforce development system with the tools they need to help returning service members affected by TBI and/or PTSD succeed in the workplace - particularly service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan

Suddenly Senior is one of the best sites I have ever seen for Seniors.  You can find out just about anything and you will usually find out the TRUTH!  The site, thank God for Mother Margaret is FANTASTIC. 

One of the most refreshing sites I have ever had the honor to visit is one in which the very first sentence reads:  "I don't know about you... but I have had enough of this bull!  And like Mother Margaret, an older, honest, down-to-earth lady, I am fed up and I am sick and tired of one party or the other not only spreading their lies, but leading America, like sheep, to their own destruction.  And the media, they play a big part by refusing to stand up and be counted.  There are all-too-many media sources and politicians who would rather sell us down the river and aid the enemy than be embarrassed or admit they could be wrong.  The media is using YOU, America, and they will continue to do so as long as certain party officials are appeased and get their way, and empty your pocketbooks.  Go to the site of Mother Margaret's and read what an AMERICAN with guts says and who stands up to be counted.  Those who do not like what she says are afraid of the truth!  And one other thing:  for those of you who are letting some self-proclaimed MISTRESS OF WHATEVER teach you some other kind of religion, what part of this planet DID YOU POP UP ON!

Kids for Our Troops was started as a way to get kids of all ages involved in their effort to help severely disabled veterans coming back from fighting to defend American in the War on Terror.  Many kids have written letters and sent them cards to let them know what they have been doing to raise money and awareness to this veterans issue.  Their mission is to provide a safe, informative place for kids to go on the web to learn about the issues facing our disabled veterans and to offer ideas on how they can get involved in the effort to help these American heroes once they have returned home and are in desperate need of handicapped accessible home.  Kids for Our Troops is a Division of Homes for Our Troops. 

Homes for Our Troops is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2004.  This organization is strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries.  Homes for Our Troops assists severely injured Service Men and Women and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and coordinates the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility.  (All services provided by Homes for Our Troops are at no cost to the veterans they serve). 

Our mission is to raise funds for Injured Marines and their families. Our severely wounded Marines continue to fight battles here at home with their struggle to adjust to their injuries. Our mission is to provide financial support to injured Marines while they continue their long road to recovery. As stated in our Bi-laws, Family & Friends For Freedom Fund, Inc is organized exclusively for charitable purposes to provide financial aid to injured marines and their families, as well as post traumatic stress disorder cases from war, and all branches of the U.S Military as the need arises. 

Operation Gratitude is the California-based 501 (c) (3) non-profit, Volunteer organization that sends care packages of snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in hostile regions such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and on military ships at sea.  Its mission is to lift morale, bring a smile to a service member's face and to express to all troops the appreciation and support of the American people. Operation Gratitude receives the names of thousands of troops from commanders in the field who see the positive impact of care packages on their troops' morale. The organization sends 100,000+ care packages every year during two major campaigns: A Patriotic Drive in May and a Holiday Drive in the winter.  For safety and security, all assembling of packages occurs at the Army National Guard armory in Van Nuys, California. Since its inception in March, 2003, Operation Gratitude has shipped more than 375,000 packages to American troops deployed overseas.

The Kitchen Table Gang is a bunch of "rag-tag" military types trying to make life a little more pleasant for our hospitalized veterans and to lessen the bleakness that permeates many VA Hospitals, and for our soldiers and Marines overseas.  They are attempting to let these veterans, soldiers, and Marines know that they are not forgotten and that we really care for them!  Their goal is to help as many as they possibly can-- from as many different wars and eras as they can--and to reach that goal requires YOUR help and prayers!  Like they say, they don't want your money, they only want you to honor our soldiers and veterans! 

Mission: To create, establish and promote a nationally recognized flag that would fly continuously as a visible reminder to all Americans of the lives lost in defense of our national freedoms. All Military lives lost not only in action but also in service, from our nation's inception.  This Site is worth the visit and their cause is worthy of your consideration.

Mission:  To serve our wounded and eligible disabled military veterans and the school districts of Northwest Florida by facilitating the path to teacher certification through programs offered at the University of West Florida thereby providing teachers to meet critical shortages in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties.

The National Guard, the oldest component of the Armed Forces of the United States and one of the nation's longest-enduring institutions, celebrated its 370th birthday on December 13, 2006. The National Guard traces its history back to the earliest English colonies in North America. Responsible for their own defense, the colonists drew on English military tradition and organized their able-bodied male citizens into militias. 

Their Mission is to support our troops in the field in bringing needed products to the Armed Forces Personnel in remote outposts of the world.  Their food products are a welcome relief and can be easily stored without refrigeration until opened.  Their founders are Veterans who have developed an expertise of sending specialized products to the Armed Forces personnel, and personnel who are at remote sites worldwide.  Their President is David Zuckerman, a Veteran of the Vietnam Era with the U.S. Air Force Military Airlift Command.  While in that service he sustained a cervical disc injury to his neck.  David has over 25 years experience in shipping and sourcing of specialized products.  He is the Operations Chief of U.S. Combat Heroes, Inc.  This site is worth your time and effort to visit, believe me.
